This is my personal account of about 15 years doing music in an idiosyncratic and home-made way, from school bands, to pressing records, to going on tour. It's also kind of about growing up and getting to know yourself better.

After writing this story, I decided to redact the names of the bands, people, dates and places. Some people found this touch charming, some found it infuriating.

I think I was probably inspired by reading various perzines about music and people's lives in general. Especially Emma Falconers blog and zines. I also really liked the book Our Band Could Be Your Life and the book Beneath the Underdog by Charles Mingus. Though I didn't try to copy the last one in style, I still thought it was amazing and made me interested in musicians' biographies.
