This chap is looking for his 'Forever Home'. He'd love that to be your garden. He would look great in a flowerpot, or in your flower beds. He is happy to sit outside, or he is equally content to live inside.
He is made from Fused Glass, has a wingspan of approximately 16 cm and is approximately 12 cm from head to tail. He has two wire antennae sprouting from his head. He is mounted on a glass stake that extends 20 cm below his tail.
His front wings are made from blue glass and the back wings from translucent red.
His wings are each individually hand-cut from glass and married up to the two pieces of glass that form the body. We then add the decoration using thing glass rods (stringers) and pre-prepared glass dots that we made ourselves. Add in the antennae and bake at around 800 C. Once cooled we glue on the glass support, and he's ready to adorn your garden.
All of our Fused Glass Goodies are made with care and a smile at our home studio in Shropshire.
