DESCRIPTION

This bike wall mount was designed to solve the problem of storing a bike in a busy apartment/ home without risking damage to the wall. Unlike all other bike racks on the market, this design fully supports the bike preventing it from being knocked. The design includes two lower brackets that supports both wheels- preventing movement towards the wall and movement of the bike in the forward- backward direction. The lower bracket holding the front wheel also prevents the wheel/ handlebar rotating. The upper bracket holds the bike in the vertical orientation.

The wall mount is of a powder coated steel construction with rubber edging to provide a soft interface with the bike.


SPECIFICATION

Suitable for:

- Bikes up to: 15kg

- Max tyre width: 30mm

- Max handlebar width (outside to outside): 470mm

- Securing to rigid wall (we cannot be held responsible for connection to wall)

Note that bikes with a none horizontal top bar will only contact upper bracket on one edge. This will not affect performance.


INSTALLATION

Installation instructions are provided. For securing to brick, use the screws and plugs provided. For mounting to anything else, please use suitable fixings ensuring that they are capable of taking the loads required. We cannot be held responsible for incorrect wall fixing.


PACKAGING

The bike mount will be packed inside a cardboard box with paper protective filler.

THE STORY

Living in a small city apartment, this bracket design came out of a desire to keep my bike inside rather than in a communal bicycle store exposed to the elements. With space at a premium, I wanted to utilise some unused wall space in my hallway. Having searched the market for a suitable solution, I could not find anything that would prevent my bike from damaging or dirtying the white walls if the bike was in some way knocked- something that was very likely. I developed this solution and was so thrilled with the result, I thought I would share it...
