I saw a piece of stained glass which caught my eye. I photographed it and drew up a pattern from the photograph. This is my interpretation of that piece of stained glass.

Are you looking for that unusual house-warming gift, a gift for that special occasion, or for something to fill that space on the mantlepiece or window ledge?
Inspired by a piece of stained glass, this is made of 18 pieces of glass fused onto a clear backing sheet. Each piece of glass is hand-cut and ground to shape so that they fit together according to the pattern. Once the pieces are laid out like a glass jigsaw we fill the gaps with black glass powder and treat the whole piece to a session in the kiln. A carefully controlled program of heating and cooling fuses all the pieces onto the clear base and creates a smooth contoured surface.
The piece is approximately 20 cm wide and 30 cm tall plus the base. It is mounted on the base using special metal supports that grip the glass to hold it steady.
Please note that the stand and glass art will be packed separately for shipping. You'll need to fix the glass to the stand when you receive it. All you will need is a small flat-bladed screwdriver.
All our Fused Glass Goodies are hand-made in our home studio in Shropshire.
