Full description
These are the matching earrings for the Elephant Parade Turquoise necklace and bracelet. A very simple design that you can wear any time, these little silver plated elephants are threaded onto metal headpins with small silver plated spacer beads and reconstituted turquoise beads. As mentioned, the turquoise beads used are reconstituted, which means that they are made from turquoise that has been crushed to a powder, then mixed with resin and made into beads. Real turquoise is becoming much scarcer, so this method of producing beads enables a little to go a long way. The ancient Egyptians used a similar technique 4000 years ago. These earrings have a comfortable clip on fastening, or you can choose a simple earwire for pierced ears if you prefer. I have shown both fastening styles in the pictures.
The earrings are 1.5 inches long, not including your choice of clip-on or earwire.
They will come to you lovingly packaged in tissue paper and an organza bag and will be sent Royal Mail First Class in secure packaging. If ordered with either the matching necklace or bracelet, they will be in a 100% recyclable cardboard box.
