The burgundy leather had been stripped from an old settee and was destined to be shepherds' jerkins in the Connisbrough outdoor Nativity play, but was thankfully deemed 'too heavy', so it gradually made its way to my workshop! When I saw it next to my Anna French pheasant wallpaper sample I knew it was going to make a beautiful, hard-wearing sketchbook!

Full description
Large burgundy leather note/sketchbook with 120g/m2 plain white cartridge paper (acid free). The endpapers are Anna French block-printed 'Bird in the Bush' wall paper and it is sewn with South African cream wool thread. It has hard-back covers, but the signatures (folded page sections) are sewn directly onto the leather spine, which makes the book nice and flexible so it will open flat for writing and drawing and you can also slip things (or even stick things) in and it won't burst the spine, which makes it perfect for a sketchbook or journal. Front cover measures 16cm x 22cm and the book is 4cm deep. The book is unique, comes with its own hand-made gift box and is signed and numbered (2,149!).
