The stone pattern is the oldest of the marbling patterns, examples exist dating back to the mid 15th century in Turkey.
Named for the resemblance to stone (particularly veined marble, where the term marbling comes from) this pattern is the first to be made before manipulating the paint to create other patterns.
This sheet has a Spanish ripple effect which gives a great 3d look to a flat piece of paper. Difficult to execute, it was supposedly invented by a spanish apprentice who had over indulged the night before. His shaking hands imparted a rippled effect which was asked to perfect when his master loved it.

Inspired by the hellebore in my garden, this lovely pink and green A4 sheet of hand marbled paper has a vintage floral feel.
This sheet is a slight second, and there are a couple of faults on this sheet in two corners (pictured).
Dusty pink and leaf spots with cream and
sap green veining and a subtle Spanish ripple effect.
Marbled onto 120gsm FSC yellow base paper (please see my about section for more details on the papers). The sheet is approx 216mm x 306mm, long grain.
This beautiful sheet is a one of a kind piece suitable for using in bookbinding, covering boxes and other items, die cutting, origami, journaling, scrapbooking, card making and any other paper crafts you can think of!
Every one of the sheets I sell are created by me from start to finish and are one of a kind.
It will be sent flat in a card backed envelope.
Although I have strived for colour accuracy, please be aware that there may be colour differences due to the way monitors display colours.
