Hi and a very warm welcome to our new Folksy shop. We really hope you enjoy looking through our collection of handmade wood crafts. Most of our orders will use Royal Mail tracked 48 to keep postage costs at a reasonable price.
I had the idea of making a single feather from the birds I carve. My wife,Victoria
suggested adding a lathe turned pot to create this Inkpot and quill piece!

Full description
This lovely handmade 'Feather and Inkpot' are two separate pieces of wood. The 'pot' is lathe turned from a pretty piece of Beech and then finished with a coat of wax oil. The 'feather' has been carved from Sycamore using a knife and gouge chisel, this too has been protected with a wax oil.
The feather sits securely in a drilled hole at the top of the inkpot.
This piece measures approx 29cm high from the base of the pot to the tip of the feather and the feather is approx 5cm wide.
