Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

The freedom of the Cornish coast on a sunny January day, we were privileged to see many seals in the cove below (indicated by the dark squiggles in my print). The shapes of the cliffs and the memory of the sunshine on my face, the sounds of the sea and the gulls overhead.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This original hand pressed linocut print is based on photographs I took in January on a walk from Hayle beach to the dramatic and beautiful Mutton Cove. Seals were basking in the cove and I have indicated these in the bottom middle area of this print.
I pressed this print at home using the back of a spoon and my hand.
This is the 6th in an edition of 10 prints. In addition to this edition there is one other on-going experiment which is currently unfinished. As this is a reduction linocut print there will be no other original prints made from this plate, which was destroyed during the printing process.
This artwork is printed in Schmincke Aqua Linoldruck Linoprint Ink (Water Based) on Fabriano Artists Paper 200gms.
The print measures approx 6 x 4 inches and the paper has been hand cut to approx A5 size.
The print will come unframed and unmounted.
I will mail it out to you in a cellophane packet with a small signed Certificate of Authenticity.
I will post it out to you in a board backed envelope and I will send it 1st class Royal Mail Standard Delivery or Standard International Delivery if sending overseas.
If you would like a special delivery service, for instance guaranteed delivery by a certain time, or if you would like me to send your item tracked and signed for, please send me a message and I will get a quote for you for the extra postage cost.
