Deep violet and coral floral bag on a cream calico foundation with coral coloured shoulder straps. Both the front and back of the bag are in a similar design. The foundation is machine stitched as are the straps and yokes (tops) giving them strength. Each window contains a square of cotton fabric in one of the colours picked out from the main fabric and hand stitched into position. The yokes are lined in the coral coloured fabric. Top stitching on the straps and yokes add extra interest. Inside is a partially lined patch pocket in matching colours and fabric with a smaller version of the cathedral windows detail. A button fastens the pocket and to the side is a key clasp attached with ribbon. Whilst I do take special care when making the bags, they are handmade and not perfect so this is reflected in the price. The bags are for informal, casual use such as for the beach or use as an overnight bag or to just to pop to the local shops. They are lightweight and I always take at least one away with me on holiday. Also, they make great gifts. Each bag is unique as I never make another exactly the same. It’s possible to wash the bag but please be aware that some shrinkage may occur. Wash on a cool, gentle cycle, dry flat and iron whilst damp. Please don’t tumble dry. The measurements are 12” wide, 28” long inc straps and 15.25” without. Each strap measures 28.5”.
