I’m taking part in the Artist Support Pledge.
For every £1000 of art work I sell, I pledge to spend £200 purchasing another artists work. Artists supporting artists through a crisis.
Vessel was produced with a lot of emotion. I have PTSD that stems from poor treatment when my son was born unexpectedly at 25 weeks in 2016 and I had sepsis.
I felt incomplete; a failure as a mother to do the most natural thing possible - I felt inadequate and the NICU nurses made our journey unbearable. The feelings have continued to manifest in flashbacks, nightmares, insomnia, anxiety, anger, mistrust... the list of symptoms is endless.
My son, thankfully, is now a very healthy child.
