A have been making tulips to go in plant pots and was asked if I could make a sunflower to go one a stake and this is what I came up with.
They do look rather pretty in a pot either singularly or in a group.
Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, foiled and soldered together, a brass coloured rod has been attached which measures approx 30 cms, this can be cut if you would like it shorter.
The glass used will be a dark amber in the middle and a lighter amber on the outside, not necessarily yellow glass as shown in the photo which is only to show you what the sunflower may look like and not actually what yours will be.
Whilst these can go in the garden I would recommend taking them in during the winter when the weather is cold and wet as this may effect the foil.
