We were looking for new ways to use rainbow colours and came across a piece of accordion glass in our stash. This was the closest we could get to rainbow with the glass we have at the moment. We were delighted with the results - to the extent that we have made other items using the same technique.

This is a lovely triangular shaped pendant on a silver plated chain. It is approximately 2cm at its widest., 5cm in length, and the chain is 20cm long.
This is a new design for us, and our first use of accordion glass. This is glass that has a series of ridges running through it. We use this design to hold coloured glass stringers (thin rods of glass) in place and cover the whole piece with a piece of clear glass.
The piece is fused in our kiln to around 800C which is enough to melt the glass pieces together to form a single piece. Once cooled we glue on a silver coloured bail and thread on the chain.
The pendant will be shipped in a gold coloured gift box.
All glass is cut by hand and processing is carried out at our home studio in Shropshire.
