Item details
In the late 1990s I visited India on several occasions. I fell in love with the architecture and was captivated by the vibrant colours of the silks and saris worn by the ladies. I was especially drawn to the old ones which are slightly worn and have been handed down through the generations, filled with love and memories. It is this that is the inspiration behind this work.

Full description
This is a vitreous enamel on silver in a custom silver moon setting that nestles comfortably around your neck. It is enamelled in layers of blues and greens with the colours and patterns painstakingly built up over many separate firings in the kiln. It has a final layer of gold lustre screened over the top which adds a subtle glint of gold. It symbolises layers of memories and is inspired by the colours and textiles of Indian silks and saris. The pendant measures 33 mm in diameter and is on an 18 silver chain, it is hallmarked by the London Assay Officer. This is a unique pieces that will echo and contrast beautifully with your chosen outfit.
