Khadi paper is a beautiful paper handmade in Nepal by small paper makers. Batch produced using long fibre cotton rag, the paper is acid free. The sheets have a deckle or wavy edge which comes from the deckle (like a square sieve) used to scoop up and separate the pulped fibres from the water. This also results in the textured surface of the sheets.
Marbling a sheet of paper twice means that there is twice the work as each sheet has to be dried, alumed again, and then marbled again.
The result is a a multi layered effect where the first marbling shows through the top marbling and gives beautifully detailed pieces.

Full description
This is a beautiful and unusual sheet of handmade Nepalese khadi paper which has been over or double marbled in a lovely palette of pinks, cream and gold.
I have used a rose pink, crimson, cream and gold to create this sheet, where a stone pattern has been overlaid with a lacy drawn pattern to give a veil effect.
Marbled onto 320gsm acid free off white base paper (please see the inspiration section for more details) The sheet is approx a4 sized, 298mm x 216mm. Due to the nature of how the paper is made, there is no grain direction.
This beautiful sheet is a one of a kind piece suitable for using in bookbinding, covering boxes and other items, scrapbooking, journaling, card making and many other paper crafts!
Every one of the sheets I sell are created by me from start to finish and due to the marbling process, each sheet is unique.
It will be sent flat in a card backed envelope.
Although I have strived for colour accuracy, please be aware that there may be colour differences due to the way monitors display colours.
