PLEASE NOTE this listing is to order so can take up to 21 days to be ready for posting, however it will probably be ready before. If you need it sooner please contact me before ordering to make sure I can have it ready in time.
This Suncatcher originated during the lockdown. In our Close everyone was given a few sunflower seeds to enter a sunflower challenge. As ours hadn’t germinated I decided to make some in glass and that’s how it started.
The glass used adds a lot of interest as each sunflower has petals made from different amber/yellow glass and the centres from darker amber glass. This photograph is only a representation, yours will be made from different types of amber glass but may not be the same.
Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, foiled and soldered together. Twisted tinned wire has been used for the curls.
This piece will look lovely in any window and I’m sure will bring a smile to your face.
The suncatcher measures 14.5cms x 20cms. Yours will be a similar size but may vary.
