After seeing the Snarky Cat stampset on one of Tim Holtz live Facebook stories, I liked how this cat portrays a serious, but sarcastic face and thought it would be ideal for a birthday card with a difference.

Full description
These cards were designed using Tim Holtz’s new Snarky Cat stamp set to make this serious, sarcastic faced Birthday Card using the sentiment “I know right from wrong and wrong is the fun one”.
There are two variations for this card:
1) embossed number background
2) stencilled bubbles watercolour background
1) The card background was created stamping a numbered background stamp, adding white embossing powder, heated before adding watercolours onto the card. The cat was stamped and fussy-cut, then mounted onto the card-front.
2) The background was created using a circles stencil with the same watercolours. The cat was stamped directly onto the card, and another one mounted on top to provide dimension.
The accessories (hat, bow tie and balloon) were stamped, die-cut and coloured using Distress Inks

Card Blank 250 gsm black/blue cardstock with a co-ordinating 100 gsm envelope
