I've previously used dryer sheets to reduce static and fragrance my laundry, however publicity around waste to landfill made me rethink my environmental impact.
Rather than using disposable items I switched to reusable where I could. These dryer balls were fun to make and made a huge difference to drying time.
I added a few drops of my favourite essential oils to the balls to fragrance my laundry too!

2 Wool Tumble Dryer Balls in cotton drawstring bag.

REFORM: Fine Fettle Dryer Balls are handmade from felted wool sourced from Swaledale sheep.
REUSE: Fine Fettle Dryer Balls can be reused over and over again, and research suggests they can cut up to 30% of drying time saving time and money, and better for the environment.
To use: Put the balls in your tumble dryer with laundry, avoiding large loads to ensure they have space to move the laundry around and drying efficiently. Leave in your tumble drier or store in the drawstring bag until they are needed.
The balls are unscented but you could add a few drops of Essential Oils to add a scent if you like.
How they work: Dryer balls work by keeping the clothes separated and allowing air and heat to circulate effectively through the dryer.
Dryer balls are considered to be a better cloth softener and also can reduce static serving as the best substitute for chemical based dryer sheets.
