Pretty Corner Wood demonstration years ago and this bowl is made from some of the rough Rowan that wasn't suitable for my 'have a go' pole lathe on the day. The tree was cut and then dragged through the woods by horse so this bowl has a wonderful history. Odd bits of it were added to the firewood pile until one of the first fires of autumn were lit in the logburner. So a log for the fire rescued by my wife who said - that'd make a fabulous bowl! She's always grabbing logs just as I'm about to burn them and I must say she does have a good eye for what's going to look good.
