Item details

This tie has been made using the 'European 4 in 1' weave. It consists of approximately 3000 jump rings. The wire used is 0.7mm diameter enamelled copper wire which provides a very durable finish. The neck chain has been made using 1mm diameter enamelled copper wire. The neck chain has been designed with a rubber band to allow for when the wearer sneezes and the neck expands. The rubber band also ensures a snug fit without being over tight. The clasp has been made from the same 1mm diameter wire.

I wanted a tie with a orangey brown feel to it. I had remembered a tapestry cushion my Dad had made when I was a young teenager. It was a bargello design and from what I remembered I created the design. I had several attempts to get it right though.
