This listing is for a To Order beehive so can take up to 21 days to be made and ready for posting. If you require it sooner please email me before ordering to check I can make it in time.
I have been making bees for a few years and found a pattern for a beehive so thought I’d have a go. Only problem was I then had to make some diddy bees to go with the hive.
Each piece of glass has been hand cut, ground, foiled and soldered before being washed and polished. The stripes on the bees have been made with glass paint and the eyes blackened with patina. Yeo rings and a length of line has been attached for hanging purposes.
This photograph shows a hive made from amber florentine and wissmach glass, yours will be made with two different types of amber glass but will not be the same.
This suncatcher measures 10cms x 10cms.
This would make a great gift for any garden lover, bee keeper or just for someone special.
