Item details

The clocks are 15 cms in diameter, a smidge under 6 inches.
The design is drawn out on paper and the lead strip is 'traced' onto the clear acrylic face. The colours, special glass paint, are then added. The backing piece, pure white acrylic, is positioned, and the clock mechanism and hands are affixed. The hour markers are clear glass cabochons that are painted on the back.
The clock mechanisms are ROHS compliant, (no nasty stuff in them).
Requires AA battery, not supplied.

Hundreds of years ago, I went to art school, I didn't do much but it did give me a long lasting liking for certain artists. Joan Miro being one of them. I like him because he was, as far as I can tell, as mad as a hatter. His paintings certainly make you think. I would love to do a series of clocks based on other 20th Century artists.
