Two colour candles are used in voodoo/hoodoo spells to achieve a very specific objective. The two distinct colours have very precise meanings when used in tandem. White over black is often associated with ridding oneself of a curse or bad luck the white being a symbol of good smothering the black which is the symbol of the bad luck.
