Full description
This green and yellow budgie or parakeet has been needle felted using woollen fibres and a barbed felting needle to sculpt it into shape. The long tail feathers have a wire central core and the feet have been made using wire wrapped in wool with a light covering of wax. The budgie is approximately life sized and measures 25cm (10") long, from top of head to tip of tail. He can be perched on a log or on the edge of a shelf. Note: the log shown in the photos is for illustration only and is not included in the listing.
Many hours of work have gone into making this budgie as life like as possible. He is fairly robust but will not withstand constant handling or rough treatment and is not suitable as a toy.
