A real labour of love. The warp is wound from over 30 shades of shantung silk,- each thread is a colour average of every frame in the movie, extracted by a nifty bit of software that compiles each colour into a chronological sequence. Every film has a recognisable colour palette, which gives a sense of the film. I've used a crackle draft for the black weft, which gives a sense of flight. This scarf is a real showstopper- very soft, with great drape and shine. Ideal for a movie lover for a very special occasion.
I love codes hidden in weaving- there's a great tradition of weaving hidden significance in to fabric. This came to me after many enjoyable evenings watching movies with my boys.
