A solid leather key fob, made in beautifully tactile English Bridle Leather.

Available in three colours, with a brass rein decoration. The decoration is a called a rein tip, and is used in the manufacture of traditional harness work.

The fob key ring is hand made from a piece of English bridle leather, folded and hand stitched, using traditional saddle stitch.

The dimensions of the leather section are 3" (7.5 cm) long, by 2" (5 cm) at the widest part.
The brass split ring is 1" (2.5 cm) in diameter.

The leather is 3-3.5 mm in thickness, so this makes a lovely chunky key ring.

This is such a wonderfully solid and chunky little key ring, with a saddlery twist.

The leather used to hand make this is usually used for making bridles, and harness work, and the raised decoration is a brass rein tip.

Decorations like this have been in use for a long time, and its function is to add decoration to the carriage reins, similar decoration would then be applied to the blinkers, and face drop as well as on the driving saddle.

Its a very functional piece, keeping your keys nice and safe, but is also a slice of English history.
