Full description
Three vintage Canadian knitting patterns for sweaters and zipped jackets in 6-strand wool for women and men. The first is 'Cowichan' sweater pattern No 11 and gives instructions for a polo-necked sweater with a Fair Isle trim in sizes 36"-38", 40"-42", 44"-46" (91-96, 101-106, 111-117 cm) using 6-strand Cowichan brand wool. It is a Grace Powell design. The second is 'Chinook' Zippered Sweater pattern No. 28 and gives instructions for a zippered jacket with a turn-back collar and eagle motifs in the same size range as the previous pattern, using 6-strand Chinook brand wool. It also is a Grace Powell design. The third pattern is 'White Buffalo' Canadian Sweater Pattern No. 12 and gives instructions for a zippered jacket with a turn-back collar and Fair Isle bands in 4 sizes ranging from 30"-32"/76-81 cm to 42"-44"/106-111 cm using White Buffalo 6-strand wool. The materials and colour information are given in both English and French, but the main pattern instructions are in English only. This pattern is dated 1976. All three patterns are in reasonably good conditon, although a hole has been punched in the top corner of each one and there is some wear around the hole. The patterns are mainly in the form of charts for all three leaflets.
