I work as a gardener in the daytime and have come to really love all the birds I meet in the different gardens I do. I've only seen a goldcrest twice and sadly not in my own garden but they were so tiny yet striking in appearance I wanted to do my own little homage to them.

Full description
Little wooden goldcrest hanging decoration. I love every part of the process from cutting out to the final coat of varnish. Although my favourite part is painting with acrylic inks and adding the detail to try and give each little bird it's own character.
I try to make each bird as similar as possible but they all have tiny differences due to being handmade.
They each measure 5.5cm in length X 3cm high. They are painted on both sides.
