I always try to find a new use for old or discarded things from around the farm
The body of these beasties is an old, rusty nail. It is lovely to make a new piece of work for someone to love from an old, rusty and unloved nail !

Ceramic Dragonfly, created with an upcycled rusty nail !
I hand cut each insect from a slab of clay,before firing then adding a glaze and firing for a second time.
Every Dragonfly and Butterfly is unique, the body of the insect is a reclaimed rusty nail !
This Dragonfly is about 5 inches wide.
There is a hook on the back to attach to the wall.
