Full description
I have made this scarf with those who prefer less bulk in mind. A narrow white nuno felted scarf with a pretty red ruffled border alone one side. The main body of the scarf is made using natural white merino wool fibres nuno felted onto a silk chiffon base, a process in which the woollen fibres bind to the silk. A blend of red and black merino wool with the addition of white flax fibres has been used to create the border. The layout of the fibres and manipulation during felting results in a ruffled effect to the border.
The resulting scarf is beautifully soft and amazingly lightweight. It is a striking scarf, measuring approximately 148cm x 15cm (58" x 6"), long enough to tie around the neck for extra warmth if desired or it can be worn draped across the shoulders.
A lovely scarf to compliment any outfit, smart or casual.
The scarf will be supplied wrapped in floral tissue paper with labelling describing the nuno felting process and full washing instructions making it an ideal gift.
