Full description
Lovely, luxury, silky yarn made from banana fibre in a fairtrade workshop. Hand dyed in my kitchen in vibrant shades of yellow, orange,pink, purple and deep night sky blue. A wonderful vegan alternative to silk, treat as bulky weight.
Approx. 65m per 100g.
This yarn is handspun and therefore has varying thickness and twist, resulting in interesting knits. If you use 4mm needles the result will be a dense firm fabric, but if you use 6mm needles a lovely soft chain mail like knit will be achieved.
The lemon 'n' lime banana yarn bag pictured (15x15cm) was made from 1 skein on 4mm needles. It is not included in the sale.
