These old British GPO rotary dial telephones always take me back to my childhood - those nostalgic days before Internet and smartphones. Whenever I come across one of these old phones that no longer works, I always wonder if there is anything I can do to it to give it a new purpose.

Full description
This striking red retro vintage 1960s rotary telephone has been beautifully upcycled by hand into a stylish table lamp. A perfect talking piece for a livingroom, bedroom, office, bar, restaurant, or any other area.
This old red telephone has been polished to bring the dull red back to it's former glossy sheen, and the dial has been painted chrome to add contrast agaisnt the black and red, and has 2x light fittings in the handset - one in the ear piece and one in the mouth piece. The lamp includes 2x white glow E14 Edison screw LED light bulbs and has a chrome flexible gooseneck arm so that the handset can be repositioned.
These high quality LED light bulbs use up to 90% less energy than traditional incandescent bulbs, and have up to 30,000 hours lifespan.
In keeping with the retro style, the phone lamp also comes with a vintage style black braided cable with an inline switch and a British 3amp plug.
This is an original retro phone from the 1960's, it is decades old so there may be some natural wear and tear which adds to the character of the phone.
All electrical work is new and has been carried out to a professional standard.
