Full description
I have used patination techniques to produce a textured surface and lovely blue-green tones onto a 15mm /0.5 inch diameter domed copper disc. The edges have been brought back to their original shiny copper. The blue-green colours are quite vibrant in the light; there are also some lighter spots of turquoise too.
They could be worn as concave or convex domes by turning them around .
The photos show what the colours are like on the back; with more spots of turquoise. All the colours are protected by a matt sealer. The process is unpredictable but exciting and I would not be able to reproduce the same effects again.
I have given the earrings some elegance by adding long earhooks , which are made from from sterling silver. The total dangle is 40mm/nearly 1.75 inches.
Posted first class in a cardboard gift box with black, velvet insert and tied with ribbon ready to give.
