Full description
A hand felted pod made using pale blue merino wool fibres over a white base. Silk fibres in blue and purple have been added in a random pattern to the surface prior to felting. The pod has been felted over a resist material and shaped into its 3d form during the final stages of felting. The top has been cut open in a star formation.
The pot measures approximately 15cm (6") in diameter and is 15cm (6") tall. The pod is white on the inside and pale blue on the outer. It can be used as a trinket bowl, for coins/keys, as a plant pot cover or an emergency vase with the addition of a small jam jar. Alternatively, just display it as a decorative piece on your mantlepiece. The pod is the perfect size for inserting a tin can or jam jar which can then be used as a container for many items.
Please note: the bowl is not waterproof and may lose its shape if allowed to get wet so please remove any plants prior to watering and a small saucer inserted under any plant pot is recommended.
