POLLY and MOLLY are two enchanting little white needle felted mice wearing matching dresses made out of a gorgeous re-cycled tartan shirt they found at their local Charity Shop!! They have lovely yellow woollen bows on their heads and long whiskers which tickle their chins!! Their skeletons are made out of strong aluminium wire so they can pose and dance to their hearts content!!
POLLY is 8 inches tall x 2.5 inches wide and MOLLY is 6 inches tall x 2 inches wide.
All my animals are entirely handmade and it takes many, many happy hours of loving stabbing and sewing with needles and wool to create each little individual character - no two are ever the same - I often feel they make themselves!! I prefer to create naive, quirky, fun little 'felties' over anything realistic - letting my imagination run wild is such fun! My sculptures are intended as decorative, collectable display items and gifts rather than toys, the nature of their construction means they are slightly fragile. I'm afraid they are not suitable for young children. Each little character is a totally unique work of art!!
My 'creatures' have been featured in a comic book article in the June 2018 Arts Issue of The Cotswold Life Magazine.
