I love jigsaws, so it seemed natural that I'd try to make a piece of jewellery that used pieces of glass laid out to make a picture.
There are over 20 pieces of hand-cut glass in this pendant - not many for a jigsaw really, but when your fingers are fat like mine.... it was a bit of a challenge.
The results, we think, are stunning, and we intend to make more jewellery items with this technique.

Our latest pendant design is multi-coloured dichroic glass, with blues, golds, greens and reds, sparkling in the light.
It's constructed of 3 layers of glass - a layer of small pieces of dichroic glass between two pieces of clear glass. Constructing the middle layer was something like doing a jigsaw puzzle, but without a picture of what I was aiming for.
Once constructed, the pendant was placed in the kiln and heated to around 800 C to make all the pieces fuse together into a single triangular shape. After a controlled cooling cycle that removes any stress in the glass, we glue on the hanging bail.
This piece measures 5 cm tall and 3.5 cm at it's widest. It comes on a stainless steel chain - You choose the length you want from the options available.
This pendant will be shipped in a gold-coloured gift box.
Made with care and love, we hope you like this magical piece.
