I have reopened my shop with items that can be posted through a letterbox and I can buy postage online.
I am drawn to materials and techniques which flow to give beautiful colour transitions, textures, layers and organic shapes. I love to become absorbed in the unexpected and the endless possibilities of the process to create pieces which spark pleasure and joy.
Encaustic painting is an ancient art form that uses a mix of beeswax and damar resin to create a medium for painting, which is then heated to fuse the different layers. I love that you can combine it with lots of other art mediums and techniques to create original pieces of art. It feels like the possibilities are endless.

Full description
I created this original abstract landscape painting using encaustic wax on a wood panel. I used both oil sticks and pastels to create the landscape and sky. I love the way that I can create different textures with the wax which gives a tactile one of a kind artwork.
It will come with a hanging loop attached or it can sit on a display shelf. This original art would make a thoughtful Christmas or housewarming gift.
Dimensions; 15cmx15cm
As with all artwork avoid displaying in direct sunlight.
