Swedish blinds or roll-up blinds are timeless shades. The style was popular in Swedish homes from the 18th century and widely used in Sweden. This minimal window covering works very well with the medium weight linen fabric. Swedish blinds roll up evenly by adjusting the cords. Sometimes you need to help with your hands if you want a tightly rolled-up look. Before I make your blind I always pre-wash the fabric first, hang it to dry, iron it then cut and sew your shade.

Full description
Perfect for adding a scandinavian fresh look to your windows and home decoration. You are able to pull your blind to exactly the height you desire and it also gives you protection from the sun and privacy if needed.
Measuring for your swedish blind:
Inside the recess:
Width - Measure recess at the bottom, middle and top. Take the smallest measurement and deduct 1cm so your blind can run freely.
Length - Measure from the top of recess to the bottom.
Outside of recess:
Width - The width of the blind can be the same width as the window sill or add at least 5cm on each side of the window
Length - add at least 5-10cm above and 5cm below the recess so the blind covers the window fully
Made of 100% pre-washed medium linen fabric with cotton cords running down the front of the blind and attached to a wooden batten heading with rings. You can control the blind easily with the cotton cord and cleat mechanism. Make sure cords are out of the reach of children.
Care: Take out the bottom rod. Place blind into a mesh laundry bag and use handwash cycle with mild detergent, flat or hang dry and iron.
