You've read the book, now own the portrait! I have a habit of making portraits that say, I don't know, "Darren f*****g Riley", and someone on Twitter suggested I do a Jean Rhys. So here it is.
I love the photos of Jean Rhys in her later life. She looks, well, a bit tired, possibly drunk and as if she does not give a damn about what you think. If you can't grow old disgracefully what's the point, eh?

Full description
A watercolour portrait of British author, Jean Rhys. It is painted on handmade (not by me!) Khadi paper and is 15cm x 21cm. It is signed and unframed, and comes in a sheet of protective tissue in a cardboard-backed envelope.
