One cold March day I was walking on the beach at Praa Sands in Cornwall when I noticed the tree on the beach. There had been a bad storm the night before and had been swept down, landing upright. It really looked quite unusual.

I thought, what if the tree had been swept out to sea, what if it had gone on an adventure and how would it get back to the beach?
So the story was born 'The Tree That Went To Sea'.

The amazing thing is that lots of people now visit the tree and it's become quite a feature.
By following the map in the book, children on holiday can visit the tree and know how it got there.

Full description

When a little tree gets blown off a cliff during a storm in Cornwall the adventure begins.

Meeting lots of new friends including Sid the seal, Humphrey the whale, dolphins and other animals and mammals, they all work together to get the tree back home.

A story of friendship and hope, learning 'not to give up and how 'friends come together to help each other in times of need.'

The story is based on a tree that still lives on the beach at Praa Sands in Cornwall UK and was washed onto the beach from the cliff above in a bad storm.

There's a map in the book so children can visit the tree when holidaying or visiting the are.

There are also two informative pages on the sea mammals and birds the tree meets.

This is my first book and it has been wonderfully illustrated in full colour on each page by Anna Titov,

It is also her first book illustration and has used a combination of hand painted watercolours, reflecting her genuine love for nature and the sea.

The book is A4 size paperback, printed on 250 gsm paper and 350 gsm for cover.

Full colour throughout.
