My fused glass dichroic nuggets, made in my microwave hotpot kiln, are great fun to make but the dichroic glass I use is very expensive. I guard it like gold dust. I love opening the kiln when the fusing is complete as I never know quite what I will have made.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I've cal this Festive Wheel. it is the same design as my Summer Solstice but this one uses the colours of Christmas Holly, Ivy and Mistletoe.
First of all I made a 4cm dichroic glass nugget in my hotpot kiln, bright red with dichroic sparkly bits. I've set this within 16 segments of red, white and green glass.
The circle is framed for strength and neatness with twisted wire.
This is 13cms in diameter and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.
it is would make a wonderfully bright addition to any room.
It is totally individual and I am really pleased with it.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure they are unique.
I can never make another just the same as this, as my fused nuggets are unrepeatable.
