PRINCE OF WALES OSTRICH FEATHERS - ICH DIEN
The design on this British 2 Pence coin is that of The Prince of Wales's feathers, which is the heraldic badge of the Prince of Wales. It consists of three white ostrich feathers emerging from a gold coronet. A ribbon below the coronet bears the motto Ich dien, which is German for "I serve".
As well as being used in royal heraldry, the badge is sometimes used to symbolise Wales, particularly in Welsh rugby union and Welsh regiments of the British Army.
The pendant has been cut from a genuine 2 pence coin with the design intricately cut round leaving all the detail of the coin and then selectively plated with a generous layer of 24 carat gold and pure silver. Finally a protective coating of clear acrylic lacquer has been applied.
The Pendant is fitted with an 18" Gold plated chain.
A gift box is also included.
Coin diameter - 26 mm (approx. 1 1/32"
