Bring some woodland magic into your home with this gorgeous toadstool! It is designed to be used as a doorstop but maybe you can find an alternative use for it; a giant paperweight? an unusual handbag? or just for decoration? They make an excellent housewarming present.
This toadstool is berry red on top with cream spots and a biscuity beige stem.
When filled it measures approx 30cm/12” high and the top is around 18cm/7” in diameter.
These work amazingly well as doorstops. I have one by the front door which has a self closing door mechanism and it can hold it open without slipping! And it is a lovely welcome every time I need to wedge that door open to bring in the groceries, baby, bicycle…
To avoid very heavy postage costs, this doorstop comes flat and unfilled. There is a zip at the bottom and you can fill the stem with gravel, sand , rice, lentils or whatever you have to hand. Hint: I put a bag in first and fasten it with an elastic band.
I am trying hard to support the Scottish textile industry so the cap and stem of this toadstool are made from 100% Wool made in Scotland! The wool I have chosen is of excellent quality and is supple yet hardwearing.
The non-slip base and decorative spots are made from PVC and the cap is filled with Polyester fibre balls.
This toadstool is ready and waiting to find a new home. There may be a slight variation from the photos as I made a small batch of these. The fabric is the same but each one is slightly unique.
