I have long had an interest in masks, and wanted to make a wall hung artwork based on them.

Full description
"Silenced" is a handmade piece of textile art, showing a cream/beige/black abstract head or face.
This wall decoration is based on my own drawing and design and is hand hooked, one loop at a time, from re-purposed textiles on a hessian background. The piece is mounted on two layers of board, then finished with wool felt and a hand stitched edging. It has a hanging loop on the reverse, so is ready to display on any hook or nail, or could be displayed on a shelf or mantelpiece.
In the photographs, I have shown the art work wall mounted against different backgrounds in different lighting conditions.
The piece measures approx (height by width):-
12 & 1/2 inches x 10 inches
31.5 cm x 25.5 cm

Cleaning suggestions:- this piece is not washable, but may be spot cleaned, if necessary, and dusted with a hand held vacuum cleaner nozzle with a piece of net or a sieve placed over the end to protect the textile.
