This is the Autumn Birch tree ring - I have made a series of rings to denote the turn of the seasons from one to the next. This one has an orange Garnet to represent Autumn and the gentle change of leaves from green to gold.

I have cut each tree out, into a silver cabochon and filled with a soft grey enamel. This process is one which takes many hours - of sanding, cleaning filling and firing. I torch fire all my enamel work which is unusual. Finally I flush set the 1.5mm orange garnet into place.

I then make and set the piece into a 9ct gold setting I have made. The bottom of the setting is silver and the shank is gold. The silver represents the moon, the gold the sun.

The are finished in a soft matte satin.

The main tree element measures approx 9mm
Width is approx 6mm

These rings are made to order in any UK size (I can also translate to different countries sizing).

As these are made to order there may be slight variation in detail - the trees may vary in colour slightly for example. If you would like to see different details - please take a look in my shop or my linked instagram/facebook page.
Each one comes boxed and wrapped.

I love the idea of stories and storytelling - trees and animals feature a lot in my work. This one representing the lifecycles and seasons just seemed to make itself. I think a lot about night and day and how what each Season represents to people.
