The sun sets after another fine day in the beautiful East Neuk town of Crail.
An evening wind moves through the land and sea, warm glowing windows of life begin to shine against diminishing daylight. Everyone is home, warm and settled.
The landscapes, colours and settings of Scotland's coastline have been the inspiration for my Coast series.
We visit, holiday and walk the many beautiful sea edge regions and they offer a wide variety of terrain and atmosphere. All year round.
Each illustration in the series offers a wee story and an imaginative view of life by the coast. Using small, cosy crofts; vast deep, cold seas and lush, vivid Scottish landscape palettes.
I hope you enjoy this colourful mix of real life and fictional settings and they allow your mind to drift and wander, as they did for me!
