Another Paua Shell ring having acquired a small parcel. These deep red Paua Dhells are inspiring to work with as their colours really play in the light. There is video of this particular rings movement at the following link.

Full description

This beautiful Deep Red Paua Shell Sterling Silver Ring sports a hand textured bark effect silver band. The band is 1.4mm thick and 4mm wide, and provides the base for the fine silver Bezel surrounding this unusual stone / shell. The stone shows flashes of deep reds and yellows as the light plays across its surface.

Size is currently a UK 'N - N12', (US 6.75 7). Can possibly size up 2 sizes (but not reduce due to stone set).

Paua shells were widely used by the ancient Maori in the eyes of their sculptures. They especially valued shells with red tints due to its representation as the red eyes of a Maori Warrior.
