Having made a few small pieces of Fine Silver (.999) using Silver Clay, I took an online class to discover new techniques and develop the art of Enamelling on Fine Silver As the tutorial moved through the processes I began to developer ideas about how I could personalise a Venetian Mask and at the same time learn the art of enamelling. This unusualpiece was the result and in fact the only Venetian Mask I have made.

Full description
The Venetian Mask is handmade in Fine Silver. It is unusual and quite detailed and features enamelling on the headdress and face. While it ends up as a bright silver finish initially it is treated with Pumice to give a whiter appearance in keeping with the original finishes of Traditional Venetian Masks. There is added interest within Amethyst CZ set on the hidden Bail on the reverse and the piece hangs from a Sterling Silver Chain. The piece weighs 15.5 grams and is 4.75cm high by 3.5cm at the widest point. It bears the Sheffield Hallmark for Fine Silver on the reverse.
