I designed this suncatcher to represent the colours of Thailand, of the Chinatown and Chatuchak markets in Bangkok.
Having since visited India I think I ca include in that the wonderfully coloured saris of the Indian ladies.

This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I designed this as a bright and colourful picture of ribbons blowing in the wind.
I've used lots of different textures and types of glass to give movement to the twisting ribbons which are in a full range of vivid jewel shades to remind of the vibrant markets of Asia.
.
The ribbons swirl out from a clear glass nugget, in a square shape bordered with a pretty clear glass.
I've framed the square in twisted wire for strength and neatness.
This is 15.5 cm x 16 cm and hangs from a little silvery chain which is securely attached to the top of the suncatcher.
I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass for each piece to ensure it is unique.
