Full description
This listing is for a PDF crochet pattern on how to make your own washable, biodegradable, zero waste, hemp dish washing sponge with a hanging loop.
The pattern will be sent to you via email within 24 hrs of purchase (usually sooner).
It is written in English with both UK and US crochet terms. It include lots of photos to help you on your way and full descriptions of each stitch used. The sponge is double sided (the same pattern on both sides) making it a padded, squish-able, bendable sponge, perfect for washing around pan edges and the tops of mugs.
Skill level: Intermediate
Hemp Sponge Size: Approx 8cm x 9cm (3.25" x 3.75”)
You will need the following:
- 30g of 100% European Organic Hemp yarn available here: https://folksy.com/items/7263803-50g-Vegan-Hemp-Yarn
- 3.0mm / C-2 hook
- Scissors
- Darning/Tapestry Needle
Why Hemp?
Hemp is a really sustainable option of yarn as it actually needs no pesticides to grow so it is naturally organic, naturally antibacterial, it needs less water than cotton, it consumes four times as much carbon dioxide as trees do and regenerates the soil as it grows.
Care Instructions:
Pop them in the wash with your other laundry (max 40) and let them air dry. Easy!
